  • At the moment we’re still testing a trial version of the app. This beta version isn’t available publicly yet but we’re not far off releasing an update that will be and will be posting news of that here. You’ll be able to download the Natural Neighbours app via our website, Apple’s App Store or the Google Play site.

  • Currently, the Natural Neighbours app is only intended for mobile devices. This is because it relies on your being able to observe habitats around your neighbourhood and upload records of them on the go so that they are geolocated.

  • Yes, setting up an account is necessary to access all the features of the app and to contribute to our community projects. Don’t worry though, you can do that via your existing Google, Apple or other accounts. You’ll also be pleased to know we have done our best to minimise the amount of information needed from you to set up the account.

  • We keep minimal personal information necessary to provide our services, such as your name, email, and location data for mapping habitats. We prioritize your privacy and data security.

  • The app is designed to work across various urban areas, primarily focusing on neighborhoods within the UK. We aim to expand to more regions soon.

  • No, your exact location is not visible to others. The app only uses location data to help map and improve wildlife habitats in your area.

  • We recommend updating the app whenever new versions are available. Recording observations can be done as often as you like; however, regular updates (weekly or bi-weekly) help keep the data current and valuable.

  • To delete your account, go to the app settings and select ‘Delete Account.’ Follow the prompts, and your data will be permanently removed from our system. If you encounter any issues, please contact our support team for assistance.
