About this event
The Robin Hood Community Garden is a fantastic space for residents of nearby estates to get up close with nature and planting and is also an important stepping stone for wildlife moving from the nearby parks into the residential areas.
The site was gifted to the community by Hackney Council a decade or so ago and has since been steadily improved for people and wildlife alike by local wildlife enthusiasts. Natural Neighbours is joining forces with the Robin Hood Community Gardens team to take that improvement a good way further. Project works include building a new pond, a water butt and rain saving infrastructure, pollinator-friendly planting, log piles and bug and bee hotels. We’ll also be making bird and bat boxes, some of which you can take home along with bug and bee hotels.
